Electronic Waste Art

“Technology alone is not enough. It’s technology married with liberal arts, married with the humanities, that yields the results that make our hearts sing.” –
Steve Jobs

Today students worked with artist Gabriel Brown on an art project involving electronic waste. They were introduced to the thoughts of where the electronics come from and how they are assembled. They then got to break open various electronics and discover what’s inside. While they had a blast, bigger questions are being asked. Next week: what happens to those gadgets when we’re finished with them?
Stay tuned for more dismantling and a chance for them to express their creativity with these pieces.
